“Information from Angels” presents a provocative AI oracle (The Mouth) amid lush harmonies and a subdued bassline, creating a 15-minute fever dream reflecting Saldanha’s longstanding themes. “Swarming the Pit” showcases Saldanha’s sonic wizardry through a dynamic swarm of granular textures, from falling coins to revving engines, representing an evolution of music conrète. The closing track, “Wolf & Virus Dialogues,” features The Mouth with a distinct texture, where voice articulations trigger instrumental sounds. This interplay highlights the tension between computational certainty and its unnerving realization.

Jonathan Uliel Saldanha is a multi-instrumentalist and visual artist who has been making music for 20 years. Known for his work under the name HHY on Nyege Nyege Tapes, he has collaborated with The Kampala Unit and The Macumbas. His unique sound continues to evolve, and he recently launched his own label, Horror Vector.
