Established by a duo of fashion designers, None Studio is a constant work-in-progress, a persistent search for progressive sustainable solutions, whose findings are materialized in limited edition clothing collections. Placing particular care in the social and environmental impact of each garment’s lifecycle, the studio produces their designs in a small family factory in China providing above average conditions, thus supporting disadvantaged groups while creating affordable items. They also look at factors like the materials’ sources, water usage, pollution quotas, recyclability, and biodegradability. This information is extensively made known to the wearer as each piece presents a hi-tech fiber tag that is as much a visual part of the piece itself as it is a vehicle for communication that features numbering, date and origin of manufacturing, as well as pros and cons of the piece’s main material.
The unisex Shirt-Hoodie is structured to resemble a relaxed shirt fit while keeping the downplayed vibe of a hooded sweatshirt. It is made from 28% cotton 3% spandex 70% polyester blend in ivory and is detailed with two welt pockets at the front, invisible pockets at the sides and ribbing on the sleeves, shoulders, and hem. The plush on the inner part of the fabric ensures snugness and softness in the coldest days.
The contrasting black tag in the back is both a visual detail and an information medium, crafted from a sustainable hi-tech fabric that feels like paper, TYVEK. It communicates important factors regarding each piece, such as the numbering - out of a limited edition of 30 -, origins and date of manufacturing, material characteristics and a sustainability score.
